Over the course of a 30-year career that’s seen him firmly established as one of the most influential filmmakers of the modern age, Quentin Tarantino has developed a signature set of aesthetic and stylistic signatures that audiences have been conditioned to expect in almost all of his movies.
There’s plenty of foul language, bursts of grisly violence, a little sprinkling of controversy, needle-drops to some of his favorite deep cut musical tracks, homages to forgotten films of yesterday, and many more besides. However, onscreen copulation has never been one of them, with the filmmaker explaining to Spanish newspaper Diari ARI why he’s not interested in sex scenes.
