The Marvel Cinematic Universe films have always been known for their choreographed action sequences and a wide cast of characters, but the past few films really ramped up the comedic factor. Thor: Ragnarok ushered in a new era for the Asgardian legend, with a renewed focus on visual design and quippy dialogue. While Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster and Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie were standouts, it’s hard to deny the inevitable charm of Korg, the soft-spoken and downright hilarious Kronan warrior who helped made Thor and company escape Sakaar.
Last year’s Ant-Man and the Wasp largely distanced itself from the greater narrative seen in Infinity War, and as a result, director Peyton Reed was able to place a larger emphasis on comedic action sequences and a colorful cast of side characters, including fan-favorite Luis, who (thankfully) had the opportunity to grace audiences with another trademark long-winded monologue.
I wanna be in it too!!!

It seems a couple of diehard Marvel devotees are holding for a movie where Luis, Korg, and the always-literal Drax would sit down and have a conversation, and a few Guardians of the Galaxy actors has pledged his support. As reported by Epic Stream, MCU veteran Dave Bautista has expressed his interest in working with Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Watiti and Ant-Man star Michael Pena. Better yet, Mantis actress Pom Klementieff chimed in too, saying she wanted to get it on the action.
Truthfully, there’s a slim chance that the Guardians of the Galaxy would find themselves in the same place as one of Ant-Man’s best friends, but there’s a good chance Korg and Drax might appear on screen together. After all, Avengers: Endgame hinted that Thor could join the intergalactic ragtag group of heroes, and personally, I’d love to see everyone’s favorite Kronan warrior come along for the ride. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is rumored to release sometime in 2021, so we’ll have to wait a couple of years to see if our predictions come true.
