If ever you needed proof that Avengers: Endgame is more than a movie, let us point you in the direction of an MCU-themed viral video that’s currently doing the rounds.
It emerged from the film’s premiere overseas, and features two musicians – namely Yair Chesler (trumpet) and Daniel Yosef Abdu (guitar) – covering the famous Avengers theme smack bang in the middle of the theater. And if that’s not the perfect warm-up act to Endgame, we don’t know what is.
Full disclosure: the following video contains zero spoilers for Avengers: Endgame. Instead, what you’ll see is two incredibly talented Marvel fans perform a rendition of Alan Silvestri’s Avengers theme song, which is enough to leave us giddy with excitement. In the words of Doctor Strange himself, we’re in the endgame now…
No wonder this video has gone viral; Avengers mania has truly swept the globe. Even Google has got in on the fun – for a little Endgame Easter egg, type ‘Thanos’ into Google’s search bar and click the Gauntlet, at which point you’ll see 50 percent of your search results vanish before your very eyes.
Meanwhile, on the big screen, fans are busy trying to uncover all of the many Easter eggs peppered throughout Avengers: Endgame, and while there isn’t a post-credits scene per se, stick around to the very end and you’ll catch an audio callback to Tony Stark’s formative days in the cave.
Avengers: Endgame opened to $60M in U.S. previews which, coupled with the $200M haul in China, makes for a record-breaking start. Marvel’s star-studded epic looks set to reign supreme at the box office for weeks to come, so there’s really no telling how high it will climb. $2 billion? $3 billion? Time will tell.
