Have you guys ever heard of this upcoming little indie darling called Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker? It looks pretty rad, huh? It also looks like Luke Skywalker, played by the marvelously mischievous real-like joker Mark Hamill, is going to come back as a force ghost in the upcoming film to aid young Rey in her fight against his nephew, Kylo Ren/Ben Solo.
Fans are clamoring for answers after that recent trailer, which emphasized how nobody’s ever really gone, basically confirming the above ghost theory, and for the time being, Hamill has been active on Twitter fielding random Qs for some interesting As. Most people seem like they are asking about how the Emperor comes back, or how Leia will be in the story, or maybe even about how C-3PO becomes a badass, but one intrepid Twitter user asked the real question on everyone’s mind regarding the Star Wars universe: Does Luke Skywalker fuck?
User Lilah Sturges tweeted at our Jedi Master and asked simply: “Did Luke Skywalker die a virgin?” I mean, Jedi were forbidden to love, but I guess that never stopped Anakin, so that’s a valid question, right? Hamill thought so, too, enough to actually send out a fantastic reply:
“Make up your own backstory. It’s undetermined, but in the one I made up for him myself, the answer is: no.”
High-fives and man-hollers were heard worldwide in response to this earth-shattering revelation. That nerdy little farmboy is now an intergalactic fuccboi.
How wonderful it is that in a galaxy torn apart by internal strife and conflict that love can bloom, even on the battlefield. Honestly, romance is an angle that’s hardly been explored in this galaxy far, far away, aside from the occasional rant about sand or an off-hand “I know.” These fun tidbits continue to fill out this galaxy as if, maybe, it actually did exist once upon a time. As we await the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, hopefully Mark Hamill keeps these hope-inspiring tweets coming.
