Aside from the seemingly endless war with Cicada being prolonged, another big part of The Flash‘s fifth season has dealt with the subplot involving Nora West-Allen and Eobard Thawne. Long story short, the Scarlet Speedster’s own daughter has had a secret alliance with his greatest nemesis this entire time. And though Nora’s intentions are pure, it’s entirely possible that she’s being manipulated.
Well, it looks like the moment we’ve been waiting for will arrive in just a few weeks when Nora’s guilty conscience gets the best of her and she spills the beans to her parents. If you were to ask me, this is probably the closest we’ll get to seeing Barry sh#tting a brick on network television. Here, take a look at the official synopsis for “Time Bomb” in order to see for yourself:
NORA DECIDES TO TELL BARRY AND IRIS THE TRUTH ABOUT THAWNE — Team Flash finds out that a suburban mom named Vickie Bolen (guest star Catherine Lough Haggquist) is in danger and they race to save her. Upon meeting her, they discover she’s a meta-human who is hiding her abilities from her family. Barry (Grant Gustin) encourages Vickie to share her secret with her family, which makes Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) realize she needs to come clean with her parents about Thawne (Tom Cavanagh). Rob Greenlea directed the episode written by Kristen Kim & Sterling Gates (#517). Original airdate 3/19/2019.
This, of course, will likely change the dynamic shared by Barry and Nora, though I’m guessing they’ll somewhat smooth it over before long. Don’t forget, there was that recent set video apparently showing them journeying to the future together, and that was probably shot for an episode scheduled to air in April.
For now, though, be sure to keep on watching The Flash on Tuesday nights on The CW in order to find out how this all plays out. “Time Bomb” is set to debut on March 19th, so be sure to mark your calendar for that one.
