Imagine for a very brief moment that the Disney-Fox merger occurred long before Avengers: Endgame entered development – what would that look like?
Would we now be anticipating the cinematic equivalent of the Avengers Vs. X-Men? Or would the superhero movie landscape closely resemble what we see before us today? It’s impossible to know for sure, but over on Reddit, a clever fan edit has emerged which places the Merc With a Mouth alongside Captain Marvel and Thor Odinson.
Embedded below, you’ll no doubt notice this scene from Endgame‘s latest trailer, in which the God of Thunder is attempting to startle Carol Danvers, the latest recruit to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Of course, it doesn’t work – it would take more than a flying ax to spook Captain Marvel, given her near-limitless abilities.
It’s a fun scene nonetheless, but this fan edit makes it so that Stormbreaker smacks into an unsuspecting Wade Wilson as it makes its way towards Thor’s outstretched hand.

Frankly, it’s only a matter of time before Deadpool is considered to be a member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but until that day comes, this fan edit will have to do. He’ll presumably keep hold of his R-rating, too, after Disney boss Bob Iger recently hinted at the possibility of an adult-oriented Marvel movie. We’ll leave that one to Wade Wilson.
Avengers: Endgame arrives sans Deadpool (boo!) on April 26th. Word is tickets go on sale April 2nd, and you may want to reserve your seat for this one, as the Russo Brothers recently issued a PSA to warn fans that Endgame contains more big spoiler moments than Infinity War. And that’s really saying something…
