Following last month’s phenomenal Arrowverse crossover, “Elseworlds,” we were treated to the first promo hyping the midseason premiere of The Flash. If you were to ask me, this is something we should all get geeked for because I sincerely believe the current season to be the best since the show’s sophomore year.
Should your memory serve you well, then you’ll no doubt recall how the trailer in question focused largely on Eobard Thawne’s manipulation of Nora West-Allen. And though that thread could factor into episode 5×10, my gut now tells me the video package may have also been teasing the adventures to follow, a “season 5B reel,” if you will.
Actually, if the promo that debuted upon the conclusion to last night’s encore presentation of “What’s Past is Prologue” teaches us anything, it’s to expect another freak of the week. Really, check out what’s found at the top of this article and you’ll no longer wonder why the returning episode is titled “The Flash & The Furious.”
Right now, we have no synopsis to supply, but that could very well change before the end of the week. With the saga set to resume in less than a fortnight, it’s only expected for the network to begin coughing up official descriptions and the like. In fact, it shouldn’t be long before a gallery of new photos surfaces as well.
Getting back to the Thawne-Nora dynamic, that’s something we’ll also learn much more about in the very near future. Just last month, it was revealed that their previous meetings will be detailed in upcoming installments, so color me intrigued.
The Flash returns with new episodes on Tuesday, January 15th on The CW.
