An Old Foe Returns In The Flash 5×11 Promo Photos

The Flash aired it midseason premiere this week on The CW and things continue next Tuesday with a tragic twist in the life of the Fastest Man Alive. During a battle with big bad Cicada, Barry Allen’s daughter from the future Nora is severely injured, leaving her speedster pops “Seeing Red,” as the title of the episode puts it.

We’ve already got a glimpse at the next installment with a recent trailer (see above) and now we have this batch of images from the outing which tease more of what’s to come. The pics show a meeting between Barry, Killer Frost and Ralph in the Speed Lab. Later on in the episode, it looks like the Scarlet Speedster and Caitlin’s icy alter ego will then join forces to go on the attack against Cicada.

The Flash fans might recognize a familiar face in one of the stills here. Of course, we’re talking about Shawna Baez/ Peek-A-Boo, the metahuman criminal who’s often tussled with Team Flash ever since her first appearance in season 1. It seems she’ll return on this occasion as one of the metas that the STAR Labs gang have to protect from Cicada, who’ll be attempting to work his way through the meta population of Central City in “Seeing Red.”

For more, you can check out the synopsis for the episode below, which also teases a subplot involving Caitlin and Killer Frost disagreeing on the invention of a metahuman cure.

“During a battle with Cicada (Chris Klein), Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) is severely injured. Due to Cicada’s dampening powers, Nora’s speed healing isn’t working, leaving Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton) scared for their daughter’s future. Upset about his injured child, The Flash is filled with rage and confronts Cicada in a brutal battle. Meanwhile, Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) keeps interfering with Caitlin’s work on the cure.”

Be sure to catch The Flash 5×11 “Seeing Red” next Tuesday, February 22nd on The CW.
