The trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home is finally here and it doesn’t disappoint. As has long been known from a plot summary and the shooting locations, this summer’s sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming will see the webslinger on a European tour of sorts, stopping off in London, Prague and Venice. However, we now have a much better idea of the structure of the movie, how Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio is going to work and what Spidey will be up to. If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, then be sure to check it out above. Once you’ve done that, have a flick through the gallery below to take in some of the smaller details.
There’s a lot to unpack in here, but one of the most interesting things for Spidey fans is a better look at the various suits he’ll be wearing through the film. First and foremost is the classic suit from Homecoming, but then we’ve got the new red & black and ‘stealth’ suits. Judging from the trailer, we now have a decent idea where he’ll be getting them from and why he’s switching up his style.
In an early shot we see him leaving his Homecoming suit in the closet before leaving, only to have Nick Fury hijack his vacation in Venice. Presumably, there’s superhero work that needs to be done, and I’m sure Nick Fury will be all to eager to provide an updated suit for Peter to squeeze into.

The trailer also provides some more details of what these suits will allow Peter to do. The red & black suit appears to use the webbing under the arms for a ‘wingsuit’ effect, which should give Spider-Man more mobility in the air (which should prove useful in London with its relative lack of skyscrapers to swing off). The black ‘stealth’ suit also appears to have mechanical goggles that can flick on and off, though right now I can’t see any practical use for them other than looking cool.
It’s also neat to get an official look at Gyllenhaal in costume as Mysterio. It’s commented that he looks a bit like Thor – and if Mysterio is a special effects technician I have no doubt that the resemblance is intentional. Have you spotted any cool details in the trailer? Let us know in the comments.
