Avengers 4 Trailer Delayed Due To George Bush Funeral

With the second Captain Marvel trailer having dropped last night, it seemed like the rumor mill finally had it right when it was reported that the first Avengers 4 teaser would be coming this Wednesday on ABC’s Good Morning America. However, panic began to spread when Collider told us that there might be a delay. And even despite sources saying this morning that that wouldn’t be the case, it now seems like the outlet had it right all along.

Numerous industry insiders are taking to Twitter to report that with the funeral of George H.W. Bush happening on Wednesday, Marvel has chosen to wait to release the trailer. Jeremy Conrad, Daniel RPK and Skyler Shuler – three individuals with strong histories of reliable scoops and intel – are all saying that the preview has been delayed and though it was initially going to be with us tomorrow, we’ll now have to wait a little bit longer.

Unfortunately, no one seems to have an exact date for when it’ll drop just yet, but the general consensus appears to be Thursday. Or, failing that, then Friday, as Shuler says that it’ll still be here this week, it just won’t be tomorrow. What that means for the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer, which was also supposed to arrive this week, is a bit unclear, but hopefully Marvel will make some kind of official announcement sooner rather than later and clear everything up.

In any case, it’ll be a relief when the trailer finally drops if for no other reason than it’ll bring this period of uncertainty and speculation to an end. It’ll no doubt inspire a veritable storm of fan theories, but that’s a whole other mess for us to worry about further down the line. For now, fans just need that Avengers 4 preview in their hands, because if they don’t get it soon, there may very well be a riot.
