Plot Synopsis For The Flash’s 100th Episode Revealed

Last month, The Flash made its triumphant return to our screens with what was undoubtedly its finest season premiere in years. We gave it five stars in our review and many fans also expressed similar sentiment with numerous glowing social media posts.

Thankfully, that level of quality has carried over for most of the season so far, and that’s a good thing, too, as the cast and crew certainly need to keep the momentum going as The Flash approaches what’s a rather big milestone. Yes, as you surely know, The CW series is almost at its 100th episode, and everyone’s expecting it to be one to remember.

Set to air on December 4th, we’ve already been told that Tom Cavanagh will be getting behind the camera for the outing and today, the network revealed the very first plot synopsis for the episode, which is titled “What’s Past Is Prologue.”

In the 100th episode, Barry (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash come up with a plan to stop Cicada (Chris Klein). However, the plan calls for Barry and Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) to travel back in time to gather some key necessities. However, Barry hesitates, concerned about his daughter seeing certain parts of his life.

Meanwhile, Sherloque (Tom Cavanagh) takes his concerns about Nora to Iris (Candice Patton), and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) turns up a key asset in the fight against Cicada. Tom Cavanagh directed the episode written by Todd Helbing & Lauren Certo (#508).

Original airdate 12/4/2018.

So, not the most detailed description, then, and obviously The CW is still holding back on a few big surprises, but you can at least get the gist of what to expect from what’s there. And if nothing else, having Barry and Nora teaming up together and journey back in time should prove to be fun, right?

In fact, this actually lends some weight to those rumors that the episode will feature a few villains from the past, including Zoom and Reverse-Flash. It’d make sense, too, especially in the case of the latter. Undoubtedly, Reverse-Flash is one of the biggest foes of the Scarlet Speedster’s and has already returned a few different times, so we wouldn’t be at all surprised if he showed his face again.

But whether that happens or not will be told in time, as there’s still a few weeks to go before The Flash airs its 100th episode. When it does, though, you can bet we’ll be tuning in. Will you?
