Release Date For Star Wars: Episode IX Trailer Reportedly Revealed

At the moment, the big question on everyone’s mind is where’s the first trailer for Avengers 4? It’s no doubt imminent, but trying to guess exactly when Marvel plans to release it has turned into an activity which has spawned all kinds of wild rumors and theories across the web.

There’s another exciting trailer though that’s also coming down the pipeline, and while it may not be here as soon as the preview for the Infinity War sequel, it’ll surely be just as big of a deal. We are, of course, talking about the very first promo for Star Wars: Episode IX, J.J. Abrams’ trilogy-capper that’s now deep in production, with tons of set photos emerging over the last few weeks to prove it.

It’ll still be some time before we get a proper look at it, but Express believes that the teaser for the film, as well as its title, will be revealed during the Super Bowl next year, which takes place on February 3rd.

“The big rumor is that there will be a teaser attached to the Super Bowl and the main trailer will come our way at the Star Wars Celebration in April in Chicago,” claims the site.

Of course, Disney has yet to confirm this, but given that they usually have a pretty big presence at the game, it’d be easy to imagine them using the sporting event as an opportunity to showcase Episode IX to the world for the very first time. But it doesn’t end there, as Express also has a juicy scoop on the music being used for the preview, which they outline as follows:

“John Williams will compose a track mixed with music from the prequel and the original trilogies. It will be their way of letting fans subliminally know that prequel content is coming. This special track won’t be in the movie but dedicated to the trailer only,” the site writes. “It is also said that out of the shots for the trailer will be scenes that were all shot in IMAX.”

Obviously, we advise taking this all with a grain of salt. I mean, Express is hardly the most reliable source for scoops and though this doesn’t sound too outside the realm of possibility, we’ll file it firmly in the rumor cabinet for the moment. Still, that being said, it’s pretty clear that Disney will be looking to make a big splash with the first teaser for Star Wars: Episode IX and frankly, there aren’t too many better places to do that than the Super Bowl.
