All cast members and characters confirmed for DC’s ‘Blue Beetle’

While DC fans might be focusing on the movies we’ve got coming up this year like Black Adam and Batgirl, one really exciting project that’s almost flying under the radar is the upcoming Blue Beetle film. Featuring comic book fan-favorite Jaime Reyes, this will be the first DCEU outing to feature a Latino superhero, which is cause enough for celebration on its own.

But whatever the production team has got planned clearly impressed Warner Bros. as, though it was originally set to be a HBO Max exclusive, Blue Beetle has been bumped up to a theatrical release, heading to the big screen in 2023. With shooting gearing up on director Angel Manuel Soto’s movie, the cast continues to be filled out, with more and more notable names and familiar characters being added all the time.

Morbius has officially flown into cinemas, and unless you’ve been lucky enough to have access to a preview screening, now will be your first opportunity to enjoy the film in its entirety. So far, the reviews are somewhat lackluster, but you can decide for yourself whether Jared Leto’s portrayal of the pseudo-vampire was worth the purgatory we’ve endured while waiting for the Marvel feature to be released.

Bruce Willis has retired from acting after a statement released by his daughter Rumer Willis on behalf of the family yesterday afternoon. In recent acting projects, those close to him now believe they’d seen signs of Willis’ diagnosis long before the news broke to the public.  

Willis’ retirement comes after a diagnosis of aphasia, which primarily affects one’s ability to communicate and understand communication properly. There are three main types of aphasia, and while the family didn’t disclose Willis’ specific kind of aphasia, they all affect language processing.

It’s always fun to hear when actors have their own fan theories / hot takes about the lore surrounding comic book films, such as Benedict Cumberbatch’s recent breakdown of who he thinks is really to blame for the dimension-shattering shenanigans in his upcoming film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

As most comic book movie lovers know by now, the sequel to 2016’s Doctor Strange was set up in the box office mega hit Spider-Man: No Way Home after a botched spell by Cumberbatch’s Strange results in the fabric of spacetime beginning to split apart, causing characters from alternative universes spilling into our dimension. Apparently as a result of this, Strange will face off with an evil version of himself in Multiverse of Madness, among other hijinks.

Netflix knows the world of love in 2022 involves swiping, picking, and general interactivity, and now the streaming service is giving its viewers the opportunity to make these choices for other people, via their Choose Love movie.

Earlier today, The Hollywood Reporter revealed the interactive romantic comedy will be heading to the platform at an undetermined date. The piece will let users choose for its female protagonist, Cami, whether she stays with her current boyfriend, Paul, or whether rockstar Rex Galier, or Jack Menna is the right man for her, as she ponders her potentially- partnered future.

Bruce Willis is a name synonymous with Hollywood — an all-star actor, phenomenally talented human, and someone who is simply easy to be a fan of. Is Star Wars Legends canon?

Star Wars Legends and the official Canon have been at odds ever since Disney purchased Lucasfilm for $4.05 billion (that isn’t a typo) back in 2014. Since then, the argument over Legends has become about as complicated as trying to destroy a Death Star without a targeting computer. Let’s leave the heroics to the Jedi. 

So what’s the short answer? It doesn’t exist. Although Star Wars Legends is an integral part of the larger mythos of Star Wars and all that exists throughout the galaxy, no, Star Wars Legends is not canon, but undoubtedly influences the official canon set forth by Disney and Lucasfilm.

Leaked ‘Morbius’ post-credit scene explained

Two mysterious post-credit scenes have been leaked from the ending of Daniel Espinosa’s new film, Morbius. Those who have had the pleasure of partaking in early screeners of the highly anticipated latest Marvel installment, hoping for Easter eggs, got much more. According to ScreenGeek, the two scenes “are essentially set-ups for future movies in which Vulture and Morbius are working together.”

“The first post-credits scene features Adrian telling Morbius about how he ended up in prison because of Spider-Man. This now indicates that Spider-Man will likely be appearing at some point in the future.”

Matt Smith already misses one of his cut scenes from ‘Morbius’

Jared Leto’s Morbius may end up being a morbid joke when it releases Friday, but the Spider-Man-adjacent work has left costar Matt Smith already pining for one of his scenes that didn’t survive the final cut of the series.

“There were way more scenes in it that really supported [my villain’s inception]. There was a whole sequence with the girl in the bar where Milo met her a scene before and then they went back and he fell for her and then she really hurt him, and then he went on this big killing spree. I sort of miss that part of the story, actually, now because that didn’t make the film and it gave it a bit of context to see him do that.”

‘Moon Knight’ producer hopes Sam Raimi’s ‘Spider-Man 4’ gets made

Grant Curtis, a producer of Marvel’s Moon Knight and all three of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man films, hopes a Tobey Maguire-starring Spider-Man 4 will one day see the light of day.

Raimi had been in the works with Sony to make a follow-up movie to Spider-Man 3, and a tentative release date for May 6, 2011, was even announced, but the movie never came to be due to the Drag Me to Hell director being unhappy with the script he was mocking up and deciding to abandon the project.

Actor Will Smith’s Oscars confrontation with Chris Rock has a backstory, as many users on Twitter are pointing out; one element of contention is a joke Rock made about Jada Pinkett Smith when he was the host of the Academy Awards ceremony in 2016.
